Simulator Lessons
The Riding Simulator can be used to help a broad range of riders improve
their skills. An alternative to lessons on the lunge, training with the
Riding Simulator will also save a horse's back and allow riders to concentrate
on their position without worrying about what their horse might be doing.
Clients are advised to wear normal riding jodhpurs or breeches and boots
for their lesson on the Riding Simulator. Body protectors and hats are
optional.
For nervous or novice riders
Nervous and novice riders have been seen to benefit hugely from sessions
on the Riding Simulator. It allows nervous riders to improve their skills
in a totally safe environment ensuring that when they go back to
'the real thing' they are better equipped to deal with their fears, have
a more secure seat and greater control. For the novice rider a lesson
on the simulator can see them pick up rising trot in less than 20 minutes
something that normally takes weeks of conventional lessons on
a real horse.
For competition riders
The Riding Simulator can help competitive riders steal crucial extra points,
by allowing the rider to focus 100% of their attention on improving their
position. Wall to wall mirrors allow the rider to assess their position
from every angle at walk, trot and canter. Paulines expert tuition
can help make subtle changes that see riders go on to win at dressage
and eventing. Clients may use their own saddle if they wish.
For children
The simulator has been proven to help children with a range of problems.
From the child with the whizzy pony who instinctively pulled on the reins
when asking for canter to BD Fledglings Dressage riders looking to improve
their seat. The purpose built training barn, with rubber matted floor
ensures a totally safe (and weather-proof) learning environment.
Returning to fitness
The simulator also provides a safe and controlled environment in which
riders returning to fitness after a lay off or injury can gradually build
up their strength and flexibility. Those recovering from serious physical
injury should seek medical advice before booking a lesson.
